THE BASICS
  • Our website building platform allows you to create a clean, effective website in just minutes by building web pages without any special knowledge or experience...if you can use a mouse and keyboard then you can build your website.
  • You can utilize standard templates, custom templates* or create your own HTML / CSS code.
*Custom templates are created when you start with a standard template, make changes and then save it as custom.

STEPS TO BUILDING YOUR SITE/PAGES:
1) PICK YOUR THEME
  • Choose a theme for your site by clicking on THEME in the navigation bar across the top of the page and then selecting Change Theme on the left side of the page.   There are several templates to choose from.
2) CUSTOMIZE YOUR THEME
  • Customize your theme by changing theme colors, options and fonts
OR .
  • Edit HTML / CSS
    • If you know how to write your own code (or at least edit some of the code associated with the theme you chose) you can utilize this knowledge by editing your HTML / CSS code.  To do this, click on THEME and at the bottom left you will see an Edit HTML / CSS icon. Click on this to edit your code.
3) BUILD PAGES
  • Now you are ready to start building your pages - begin by determining what pages you want
  • Click on PAGES in the navigation bar across the top of the window.  Click the "+" icon on the left side of the page to add a page.

      - an actual page
      - a "place holder" in the Navigation Menu (this will cause it to NOT be a page)
      - hidden in the Navigation Menu (although still accessible unless it is password protected - changed in Visibility)
    5. If you want to provide a title for the page or other advance options (such as header/footer code, metatags, etc) click Advanced
    6. Click Save
  • Drag the page icon (on the left side of the page) to the place that you would like it to be
    • all the way to the left will place it in the Navigation Menu
for more information on the Navigation Menu see the Building Your Navigation Bar page
    • pages placed slightly to the right of a page above it will allow it to be a sub-page
  • To make changes to the page settings hold your cursor over the page icon and click on the three squares on the left side of the page icon
  • To build your page (using images, text, buttons, contact forms, etc) click on BUILD at the top of the window.
